VERY FIRST BLOG!

Decided today to start blogging. Not for anything else, but I want to use this medium to share some of my experiences and most importantly- learnings in life worth sharing!!! They say anybody can be a blogger as long as you know how to tell stories. Well, if that is the first requirement, i believe I can be a blogger, because of the many stories I can share with everybody. As an entrepreneur, an event organizer, a brand developer and so on and so forth - there's so much to share. So excited already!!!!

Last week was a very hectic week! As an event organizer, Gatchi & Gatchi handled Phoenix' Davao Champions League Awarding and Cheer Dance Competition last November 13, at the Abreeza Mall Atrium; the 3-day event of Krispy Kreme @krispykremeph (KK) Limketkai Cagayan De Oro branch - November 13 - Media Meet and Blogger's Meet, November 14 - Golden Ticket Promo Start and VIP Night, and November 15 Store's Grand Opening! AND left CDO after lunch to rush for the ingress of SM Lanang Premier's Christmas Launch on November 16. Wow, we survived that week! Great Job guys! Yen - who took charge of the Phoenix event with Joy,and for the CDo event - congrats Janice, JR, and Jerry!

The Phoenix Event was a Darna project as we call it! Well, it only means Quickie event. Client (Phoenix Assiatant Marketing Manager Neb Bulaclac) called November 11, I flew to Davao that night. Production breakfast meeting November 12 and ingress that night, and event was staged Wednesday 400 pm. Not only that- we had two meetings on November 12 - one with SM Lanang Marketing Group led by SM Supermalls AVP for Marketing Russel Alaba and SM Lanang Marketing Manager Jenny and many more (discussed several events). Then rode with Carmina to do ocular in Northcrest for our December 2 event there. And to top this, we left for CDO taking the 900 pm bus trip. Ha Ha!!! Could just laugh because I was wondering how we survived that day - but we did!! After 8 hours of traveling,we arrived in CDO almost 5am. And you know what, we checked in and slept for close to two hours, was up by 7 am, rushed to KK Limketkai to prepare for the Media Meet that happened 10 am.
Love this button given by Krispy Kreme!
Quick Meeting with KK Marketing Managers Nadia Shami and Steph Elumba before the mediacon! Met Havas team, Clarence and Maggie, KK's Digital Media Partner. Morning went well. Gatchi team had a quick lunch at Jollibee. Then 3pm was the bloggers meet. At one point, decorated my own KK doughtnut creating a Crunchy Peanut Butter (with Pecans) Doughnut - had time to play around. (Work and play indeed!) Tasted it and twas yummy! Proud of my own creation!

Trying my own Kreation - Crunchy PB with Pecans Doughnut!

By Thursday, we got word from Steph, two lined up already for the Golden Ticket promo (first one to line up would get one year supply of KK doughnuts and coffee, six months for the second in line, and the third one on line would get 3 months supply. Not only that- 4th and 100th in line would be one month supply.)  By VIP night time around 6pm - almost 20 lined up for walk in and 5 cars for drive thru (yes another set of 100 winners for with wheels customers- cars, motorcycles, bikes anything with wheels!). The exclusive event for CDO VIPs was well attended. Hosted by Jam Bantigue of ABSCBN CDO Morning Show. Ribbon was cut by Mr. Albino Limketkai, KK Managing Director Carolyn Tan (had the chance to have my pic taken with her- she whispered - "wag kang magsasawa ha". No way Maam!), and KK Director Sharon Fuentebella. Bumped into Tisha Tamparong, and several others!!! (Sorry guys, I'm poor in memorizing names) After the VIP party, we prepared for the grand opening that night. Stayed until 400 am. (did the SM script while waiting for more customers to line up.) Went back to the hotel for less than two-hour sleep and quick shower combined- then went back to KK before 6am. By this time, almost a hundred lined up (more waited but promo was only for the first 100). Had the grand opening ceremony by almost 9am! Next thing I know, the Gatchi team was Davao-bound taking the 3pm bus trip - with our free KK doughnuts. (Thank you Miss Nadia @najashami for the Original Glaze!! )

Reached Davao almost 11pm. We went straight to the office to drop off our stuff and hurried to SM Lanang Premier to rehearse the models waiting for us to play as London Guards for the following day's Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony. Whewwwww!

Saturday was crunch time! Had to "Darna" the Star button box for the SM event (Thanks for the help Jerry! Jenny liked the box)! But the Gatch team hurdled the SM Lanang event fast (sorry Russel- the team was late!) Guest of honor was Hello Kitty assisted by the London guards with SM AVP for Mall Operations Debby, Mall Manager Therese, Russel, and CTOO Lizette Marquez! Of course- Santa Claus was there to distribute gifts! The biggest revelation for that event was the UM Orchestra! They were goooood! Will surely work with them for future events!!!
